Restaurant Concept Building on Past Success By Adding Exciting New Menu Items and Moving Back to its Roots

Joe's Crab Shack today announced an expanded menu of grilled seafood and non-seafood offerings, including more salads and sandwiches along with its plan to eliminate trans fat. The expanded dining options follow the acquisition of Joe's in November 2006 from Landry's Restaurants, Inc. The new ownership group is dedicated to building on Joe's Crab Shack's reputation for great food, upbeat service and a unique beach atmosphere, by addressing the changing desires of consumers.

Among the exciting additions to the menu are a Pesto Chicken Baguette, Buffalo Chicken Wrap, Pacific Coast Fish Wrap, Blackened Mahi Sandwich, Buffalo Chicken Salad and Island Chicken Salad among a wider selection of salads, burgers, steaks, grilled seafood and other dishes. Joe's also has improved the affordability and attractiveness of its renowned crab offerings, including steamed King, Snow, and Dungeness crabs. Joe's will also be introducing several island-themed alcoholic beverages, as well as non-alcoholic smoothies.

Joe's Crab Shack was established in Houston in 1994. Today the brand includes a national chain of 120 restaurants in 28 states featuring a festive, but laid-back atmosphere. Many of the locations are on waterfront property with large patio seating areas. Built to resemble an old beachfront restaurant, Joe's will continue to explore new grilled and steamed dishes and a wider beverage selection traditionally enjoyed by people during relaxing waterside outings.
