Charlotte, NC (PRWEB) January 31, 2007
Jenkins-Peer Architects of Charlotte, NC is pleased to announce the promotion of Benjamin D. Benson, AIA and Victor A. Jones, Jr., AIA. The two have been named principals of the firm and will share in the firm's ownership as partners.
With the promotion comes increased responsibility as the two join founding principals, Tyke Jenkins, AIA and Joddy Peer, FAIA, in managing the firm's operations and growing client base. Both are excited to see Benson and Jones assume their new roles. "We've been planning this move for some time," says Jenkins. "Ben and Victor have contributed so much to our firm; we're delighted to see them grow as leaders."
Joddy Peer agrees. "Beyond their involvement in project design and management, a principal assumes responsibility for the on-going client relationship," explains Peer. "Having Ben and Victor share in this role will allow us to devote more time to client relationships and enhanced services. It will be a great benefit for our clients."
Ben Benson joined Jenkins-Peer in 1994 where he has provided creative design and team leadership on projects for colleges and universities, research and laboratory facilities, libraries and performing arts centers. Benson is a LEED Accredited Professional with over 20 years of design experience. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from North Carolina State University's School of Architecture and earned his master's degree in architecture from Washington University in St. Louis.

Jones earned his undergraduate degree in architecture from NC State University and holds a master's degree in architecture from Columbia University in New York City.
