What's On Your PLUG Playlist?

imeem and PLUG, in conjunction with the 2007 PLUG Independent Music Awards at Irving Plaza in New York City on February 10, 2007, are teaming up for the "What's On Your PLUG Playlist?" contest to give one lucky winner a trip for two to this year's awards show. As the official online social media sponsor for PLUG Awards, imeem will use its innovative social media features to have fans create audio playlists of their favorite artists nominated for a PLUG Award. •Entrants will create an audio playlist consisting of songs from PLUG-nominated artists.
•Submissions will be accepted until 12:00pm ET on Feb 7, 2007. An entry will consist of a PLUG playlist along with an explanation on why that playlist rocks.
•Once their playlist has been submitted, entrants are encouraged to share their playlist with the community by embedding it on other sites and having their friends do the same as well. Fans are encouraged to check out the entries and rate/comment on them.
One grand prize winner will receive:
•Trip for two to the 2007 PLUG Independent Music Awards in New York City
•Flights to and from New York
•One night hotel stay
•2 VIP passes to the awards show
This year's show will be hosted by David Cross and will feature performances by Stephen Malkmus And The Jicks, Silversun Pickups, El-P, Deerhoof & Tokyo Police Club. The PLUG Independent Awards is an annual event where music fans worldwide log onto http://www.plugawards.com and vote for their favorite music artists, albums, record labels, magazines, websites/blogs, record stores, radio stations, and venues. Best album of the year nominees are: Band of Horses, Beirut, Belle & Sebastian, Cat Power, Girl Talk, Grizzly Bear, J Dilla, Joanna Newsom, Neko Case, Silversun Pickups, The Hold Steady, and The Knife.
