Benihana grill-off set for Friday at ESPN The Magazine's NEXT Big Block Party.
MIAMI (PRWEB) February 2, 2007 -- Indianapolis Colts starting safety Antoine Bethea has accepted the challenge to compete against William "The Refrigerator" Perry in a grill-off that may foreshadow which team wins the Super Bowl in Miami. The players will compete under the watchful eye of Benihana master chefs who will give both some quick training on the intricate combination of knife and tabletop hibachi cooking skills made famous over the past 43 years by Benihana restaurants.
The cooking competition takes place in the Miami Design District tonight, Friday, Feb. 2, at 8 p.m. EST at ESPN The Magazine's NEXT Big Block Party. On the menu for the special VIP party following the Benihana Grill-Off are 10,000 sushi rolls; 600 pounds of shrimp, chicken and beef; and 50 pounds of rice, all prepared by Benihana hibachi and sushi chefs flown in to Miami from Benihana restaurants around the country … and 4,000 chopsticks to eat it all.
