Online Sports Community ArmchairGM Seeks to Turn Super Bowl Sunday into Charitable Fund Raiser

ArmchairGM users to host 'Comment for Charity' event this weekend; footballs fans invited to donate money for every comment left on the site on 'Super Sunday'

New York, NY (PRWEB) February 2, 2007 -- Users of Wikia's popular online sports community, ArmchairGM, have joined forces in an attempt to turn Super Bowl Sunday into a charitable fundraiser. ArmchairGM users will be live-blogging Super Bowl XLI this weekend, providing their thoughts and commentary on everything from the actual game, to the half-time show to the commercials and more.

ArmchairGM user "Manny Stiles" has issued the following challenge to football fans:

"I want to have as many users pledge to join me in the First (Will-Be-) Annual Comment for Charity Event hosted by the ArmchairGM Community. It's easy to join: For every comment posted on the site during Sunday, pledge to donate $.01 to a local charity of your choice.

*You choose the charity
*Send the final value = (your pledge) x (Total Number of Comments on Sunday) to the charity at your leisure
*Take credit:
--Personally and get tax credits,
--Give anonymously (you can even wear a question mark bag over your head),
--Or give on behalf of ArmchairGM.com!
*Feel good afterwards."
