OPSWAT Expands Line of Integration SDKs

OPSWAT releases betas of toolkits to detect, assess and manage antiphising, mobile antivirus and browser applications.

RSA Conference 2007, San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) February 5, 2007 -- OPSWAT, Inc., the leading provider of endpoint security integration technologies to software developers and vendors today announced beta releases of two new integration SDKs and a new module to company's flagship SDK, OESIS Local.

The newly released betas are:

- Antiphising Integration Module for OESIS Local
- Browser Security Integration SDK
- OESIS Mobile

The OPSWAT Antiphishing Integration Module is a light package to check the integrity of antiphising applications installed on endpoints, as well as to control common antiphising features. Antiphising applications supported in the beta release include those from Google, McAfee, Microsoft, Symantec and others. The beta of the Antiphising Integration libraries is currently available to select OESIS Local customers. Upon general availability, the Antiphising Integration Libraries will be made available to all OESIS Local customers as part of the v3 release of OESIS Local expected in Q2 of 2007. OESIS Local already includes modules to detect, assess and manage hundreds of antivirus, antispyware and personal firewall applications from over 50 security vendors. Technology vendors using OESIS Local have distributed products to over 10 million endpoints.

OESIS Mobile is a light (less than 40kb) package to check the integrity of antivirus applications running on the Windows Mobile 5.0 for SmartPhone and on the Windows Mobile 5.0 for PocketPC operating systems. Vendors supported in OESIS Mobile include TrendMicro, BitDefender and others. OESIS Mobile beta is currently available to select OPSWAT customers. General availability is expected in Q2 2007. An OESIS Mobile beta for Symbian operating systems is expected in Q3 2007 with general availability in Q4 2007. OESIS Mobile pricing will be made available upon general availability of the product.

The OPSWAT Browser Security SDK is a light package to detect, assess and manage security-related features of browser applications from Microsoft, Mozilla (Firefox) and Opera ASA. The beta of the Browser Security SDK is available to select OPSWAT customers with general availability in Q2 2007. Browser Security SDK pricing will be made available upon general availability of the product.

"The release of the beta of the Antiphishing Integration Module demonstrates the commitment by OPSWAT to provide OESIS Local customers with a development framework that empowers them to integrate their products with the broadest range of traditional endpoint security applications in the market," said Benny Czarny, CEO of OPSWAT. "In addition, our release of betas of OESIS Mobile and the Browser Security SDKs reflects our commitment to extend the OPSWAT framework to support emerging operating systems and devices, and to support security-related features of software applications not traditionally considered as endpoint security products."
