People from all walks of life are infatuated with Compton's infamous reputation. Everywhere that I have gone in the continental United States, I have been looked at in awe, feared and or stereotyped because I grew up there. I have lived in Compton on and off throughout my life and am currently 45 years old. I have been a gang member over half my life.
