Klinedinst Announces New Attorneys in San Diego, Los Angeles, Santa Ana, and Sacramento
California law firm Klinedinst PC announced that all four of its law clerks passed the California Bar exam, and have been sworn in as the firm's newest attorneys. The new attorneys include Mark Goldsmith, Lori Maund, David Byassee, and Jason Schaff. This marked the first time that a law clerk from every one of Klinedinst's California offices took the Bar exam. In addition, all four of Klinedinst's Law Clerks passed the multi-day exam on their first try.

Schaff as the newest attorneys to join Klinedinst. All four passed the California Bar exam, and have become the newest attorneys to join the Klinedinst legal team.

Mark J. Goldsmith handles general civil litigation matters, with an emphasis on defending clients in real estate matters. Mr. Goldsmith previously worked as a Summer Law Clerk in Klinedinst's Los Angeles office in 2005. In 2006, he earned his J.D. from Washington and Lee University School of Law. While at W&L, Mr. Goldsmith was a member of the Virginia Capital Case Clearinghouse legal clinic, and was published in the Winter, 2004 and Spring, 2005 editions of the VCCC's journal. He also worked as a volunteer at the Natural Bridge Juvenile Correction Center in Virginia, and worked as a Judicial Extern for the Los Angeles Superior Court, Downey Courthouse, Division 2.

Lori J. Maund defends businesses in a variety of construction defect, employment/labor, international law, and real estate matters. Ms. Maund received her J.D. from Boston College Law School. She also has a Master's Degree in Sociology from Stanford University (2001) and studied economics, politics, and international affairs at the Stanford Center in Santiago, Chile. During law school, Ms. Maund interned for Judge Jeffrey B. Barton in San Diego Superior Court. Before attending law school, she served as Legislative Director for Massachusetts State Senator Brian A. Joyce, and worked for a legal-economic think tank in Boston, MA. Before law school, she also had the chance to work as a Commercial Assistant for the Department of Commerce at the U.S. Embassy in Belgium. A native of San Diego, Ms. Maund returned to the area to begin her legal career.

David J. Byassee works with a number of corporate clients from Klinedinst's Orange County office. A graduate of Klinedinst's Summer Law Clerk program, Mr. Byassee earned his J.D. at William & Mary School of Law. He was an active member of the law school, working as a Graduate Research Fellow, the News Editor for William & Mary's The Advocate, and as a volunteer for the Student Legal Services program. Mr. Byassee also gained experience working for the Williamsburg City Attorney in Williamsburg, Virginia, and as a research assistant for Justice William W. Bedsworth in the California Court of Appeal (4th District, Division 3).

Jason W. Schaff handles a variety of construction-related litigation matters in state and federal courts, as well as professional liability and casualty matters. Mr. Schaff is a native of Sacramento, and received his J.D. from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law where he graduated "With Distinction." Jason was Chief Articles Editor for the Pacific McGeorge Global Business and Development Law Journal, and worked as a judicial extern to the Honorable William B. Shubb for the United States District Court, Eastern District of California. Jason finished in the top 10% of his class and is a member of the Order of the Coif, the Order of Barristers, and the Traynor Honor Society. An active alum, he currently serves as a coach for the Pacific McGeorge Mock Trial Competition Team.
