Find a Happy Medium at Cassadaga's "Meet the Mediums" Event February 17

If one has ever wished they could meet with someone like Sylvia Brown, John Edward or James Van Praagh to explore the possibility of communicating with a deceased loved one, they'll want to visit historic Cassadaga, Florida for the "Meet The Mediums" event on Saturday, February 17.

Cassadaga, FL (PRWEB) February 7, 2007 -- With television shows and big budget movies featuring psychic mediums drawing larger and larger audiences, the belief and interest in communication with the dead is gaining popularity every day. Big stars like Sylvia Brown, John Edward and James Van Praagh tour the country and charge big bucks for tickets even though the average person's chances of being one of "the chosen" for a reading are slim at best. The internet is exploding with web sites touting psychic readings for a fee. Even though Madame Cleo has disappeared from the small screen, it's tough to figure out which ones - among the thousands who claim a true connection with the spirit world - are scam artists and which ones are the real deal. All of this leaves most people confused and leery.

One way to determine the skilled from the scammer is to make sure the medium you trust has credentials from a reputable organization. Located half way between Orlando and Daytona Beach in the historic town of Cassadaga, the Cassadaga Spiritualist Camp has been training people in the ethics and techniques of spiritual mediumship and healing since the mid 1800s. Years of class work, scrutiny and demonstrations working with the public by communicating with the spirit world are required before the SCSCMA confers a Certificate of Mediumship upon one of their students. Certification by the SCSCMA assures the general public that they can rely on the certified medium to be genuine, honest and professional. "Meet the Mediums" is an opportunity to make a connection with twenty or more professional mediums.

The public is invited to visit Cassadaga on Saturday, February 17 to "Meet the Mediums". From 10AM to 3 PM the mediums of Cassadaga will offer mini-readings, informative lectures on various topics related to mediumship and spiritualism, Q & A sessions with Camp certified mediums, teachers and healers, information about their education programs and services, walking tours of the Camp and much more. Local artisans and vendors will be on hand and the Cassadaga Bookstore will be open with lots of unique gift items for sale. This event is free and open to the public - no pricey tickets or reservations needed.

Cassadaga is known the world over as a Mecca of sorts for Spiritualists, psychic mediums and healers. Founded in 1894 by George Colby as a winter retreat where Spiritualists could live and work together in a warm environment of peace and beauty, present-day Cassadaga offers all that and more. Certified Mediums available for readings are listed daily in the Camp Welcome Center and Bookstore in the A. J. Davis Building, hub of many of the activities available on a daily basis. Information on classes and workshops covering various topics of interest, Mediums Nights, walking tours of the Camp including night tours, message services and more is available at http://www.cassadaga.org [Cassadaga Spiritualist Camp web site] or by calling 386-228-2880.
