A Free Online Resource for Parents and Carers of Young Children

Our Little Treasure started 2007 with a bang by announcing it's launch as a free online resource for carers ad parents worldwide.

Previously a paid subscription-based website, Our Little Treasure's founding team Kirsty Newbury and Susan Clarke wanted to make this wonderful resource available to all parents and families, not just their paying Members. "We did some investigating and discovered that we could cover the costs of the site production through offering advertising in a limited section of the site" says Kirsty. "After that it just made sense to open the site as a free resource". "We have been working hard since then to increase our advertising contributions to allow us to continue into the future with a website that supports all people with young kids".

Susan says ""Every day we receive emails from our Members telling us of their successes with their children. It is so exciting to know that we are responsible for giving people a useful tool and a great excuse for spending more time playing with their children". "So many people underestimate the importance of play for young children. It is our goal to help educate parents that it is OK to spend time 'playing' with your kids, and that through this you create learning opportunities beyond your wildest imagination".

Emily is a mother of three children, and an Our Little Treasure Member. "I have looked for years to find a site that does what Treasure offers me. I am home regularly with three children under the age of six years, and it can be a real challenge to find things to do with them. I don't want to stick them in front of the TV, so Treasure became a shining light offering activities, recipes, parenting articles and lots of fun for my kids". "I jump onto the site a couple of times per week and always find something new to try with my children". "We are having a great time together and I am happy knowing that the kids are learning every day".
