Doll Lovers Go Wilde for Chronically Bored Award-Winning Fashion Doll Ellowyne Wilde™
She's a doll with a therapist, a snarly cat, a childhood nemesis named Amber, a pyromaniac brother, and an eclectic wardrobe - and doll collectors around the world have gone absolutely Wilde over her. With sales booming, and a recent Doll of the Year Industry Choice Award on her shelf, Ellowyne Wilde™ is the new moody doll quickly taking over the fashion doll world.
Mullica Hill, NJ (PRWEB) February 8, 2007 -- With a website as quirky as her personality, and a MySpace.com page devoted to her therapy sessions, Ellowyne Wilde, the new fashion doll phenomenon designed by award-winning designer Robert Tonner for the newly-formed New Jersey-based Wilde Imagination, is fast becoming the talk of the doll world.
Launched just three months ago, she is currently featured in no less than three of the four major magazines devoted to the world of doll collecting, has a MySpace page that has garnered thousands of page views, a Yahoo! Group that has quickly grown from 21 initial members to well over 200 from as far away as Australia and Germany, and a recent Doll Reader Doll of the Year Industry Choice Award, Ellowyne Wilde is reluctantly becoming the new hot doll to collect.
"The response to Ellowyne has been overwhelming," notes Debra DeForte, Marketing & Sales Director for Wilde Imagination. "We recently unveiled our spring line at the International Doll Expo in Orlando, and our booth was inundated with collectors of all ages. It was interesting to hear how they not only love her look and wardrobe, but seem to identify with her suffering personality."
Designer Robert Tonner, who owns his own successful doll company, Tonner Doll Co., couldn't be happier with the response to his latest creation for Wilde Imagination. "The concept and design of this doll has been more than fun. It lets me go to a little darker side I wouldn't necessarily do with my own fashion doll line, and helps keeps me out of therapy myself," said Tonner.
The line is sold via an eye-catching e-Commerce website (www.ellowynewilde.com) where consumers can read about her life, her poems, and her therapy sessions; link to her MySpace.com page (www.MySpace.com/Ellowyne); and sign up for her 'Ennui of the Week.' The site also makes available for purchase the entire line of Ellowyne Wilde 16" vinyl dolls, designer fashions and accessories. Specialty toy retailer FAO Schwarz also carries the line.
The spring 2007 line, available late April 2007, will feature several new quirky fashions, dolls, and accessories, as well as updated therapy sessions. "I think the new items will surprise everyone," said DeForte. "We call them thrift-shop chic, but really they're just fun and beautiful; but not to worry - no matter how great she looks, Ellowyne's suffering will continue."
Headquartered in Mullica Hill, New Jersey, Wilde Imagination develops and markets exquisite dolls and collectibles, including the new Ellowyne Wilde™ line of dolls, fashions, and accessories. For more information, contact Debra DeForte at 856-467-9696 or visit www.ellowynewilde.com.
