Columbus, OH (PRWEB) February 7, 2007 -- (OTCBB:CCCN) Ohio Wesleyan University will feature City Capital CEO Ephren W. Taylor II during Black History Month on February 8, 2007 at 7:30 p.m. (EST). At 24, Taylor is the youngest African-American CEO of any public company in history. The event will be held in the Phillips Hall Auditorium, 50 South Henry Street. Admission is free and the event is open to the public.
City Capital CEO Ephren Taylor will present his inspiring talk, “Success At Any Age,” based on his own life experiences. This is his most requested talk for colleges, corporations and other groups around the country. Mr. Taylor challenges his audiences to lay aside conventional thinking when it comes to success in their life. Taylor himself began in business at age 12, and before finishing high school had built a $3.4 million dollar national company. Today he serves as CEO of two public corporations, City Capital (OTCBB:CCCN) and AmoroCorp (OTCBB:AORO). City Capital recently signed a $50,000,000 equity line agreement with Rochester-based Lucian Group, allowing the company to accelerate its acquisitions in growth industries.
“Success can be achieved at any age, whether very young or very old,” said Taylor, “and I’m not talking about financial success alone. It’s not enough to just aim your life towards making the most bucks. Many people realize that to be truly successful involves the whole person: spirit, soul and body. Dreaming dreams that are bigger than what you can fully accomplish in your own life, and looking beyond your own needs and wants and limitations, is the beginning of the journey to true success. And that journey can begin at any age.”
In addition to the Ohio Wesleyan presentation, Taylor will meet with Columbus community leaders during the week and speak to local students at Fort Hayes and Africentric High Schools. Columbusblack.com is the local co-sponsor of the Columbus events, which kickoff the “The 2007 Urban Wealth Tour” (www.urbanwealth.net), a national 18-city tour focused on economically empowering youth, civic groups, churches and local government leaders to enhance local community development initiatives.
Taylor’s companies focus on socially-conscious programs of investing, especially in revitalizing and empowering urban communities and providing affordable homes for working class families. City Capital Corporation (OTCBB:CCCN) is engaged in leveraging investments, holdings and other assets to create self-sufficiency for communities around the country and the world. City Capital currently manages diverse assets and holdings including real estate developments, such as the Kansas City (Missouri) Historic Jazz District redevelopment; buying, selling & drilling of oil & gas properties, and more.
