Action On Film International Film Festival Inks 'First Look' Deal with Cinamour Entertaniment for Distribution

In a bold move, Action On Film International creator signs an exclusive 'First Look' Deal with Cinamour Entertainment to bring distribution to films and filmmakers who submit their work to the AOF Filmfestival which is held on July 27-29, 2007 at the Long Beach Entertainment Center in Long Beach California.

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) February 9, 2007 -- At the recent NATPE Convention which was held at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Del Weston of the Action On Film International Film Festival and Glen Hartford of the Cinamour Entertainment Company signed an initial deal which will give Cinamour Entertainment 'First Look' rights to all films and filmmakers submitting work to the 2007 Action On Film Festival.

The AOF Festival which has become a favorite show of independent filmmakers and celebrities alike is held July 27-29, 2007 at the Long Beach Entertainment Center in Long Beach CA. The show which has hosted stars such David Carradine, John Saxon, Nick Mancuso, Fred Williamson, Bill Duke and Russell Wong has quickly become one of the top festivals in the country according to Hollywood Scriptwriter Magazine. One of the main goals of the festival is to recognize talent from around the globe for films that may otherwise go unnoticed. Festival Director, Del Weston said, 'We started the show not to recognize action films per se, but to recognize films that gave other filmmakers and viewers a reason to move toward action; make your own film, voice your opinion about a subject, react to what you are seeing; some sort of action. However, people think of us as a venue for 'action' films, that's alright too because it has helped us reach a much greater audience in a very short period of time.' Last year, Rogue Pictures sponsored the festival through their release of the Jet Li film, FEARLESS. The AOF became Jet Li central and nearly 15,000 fans were able to preview the FEARLESS trailer at both the screenings of AOF films and at the Black Tie Award Show and Dinner which drew over one thousand guests.

Glen Hartford said, 'This is a great opportunity for Cinamour and for the AOF filmmakers as it bridges the huge gap between filmmakers and distribution which is really the toughest part of filmmaking; getting your film seen.' Hartford added, 'We have watched the AOF from the beginning and it is natural move to give these filmmakers a chance with Cinamour.'

As the festival gears up for 2007, one of the judges and directors of the festival Josh Neufeld said, 'I recently saw where our grand prize winner, BINTA AND THE GREAT IDEA, was nominated for an Academy Award. This is huge and it validates what the AOF is doing and how we are doing it.' Industry insider and studio executive Alan Bailey said, 'The AOF is a tremendous opportunity for filmmakers to be seen and to showcase their work. It is a fantastic festival and opportunity as well...'

The AOF is moving into its third year and the show has been profiled in Hollywood Scriptwriter, Independent Rising, Impact Magazine as well as on Current TV and other television news shows. Sponsors of the festival include Rogue Pictures, DiscMakers, CustomFlix, Mainline Artists, Axium International and others.
