Dallas, TX (PRWEB) February 8, 2007 -- Rees Associates Inc., an architecture, interior design, and planning firm, is pleased to announce Harold "Hal" Brierley, C. Leroy James, and Bill D. Smith elected to its Board of Directors.
Mr. Hal Brierley is Chairman and CEO for The Brierley Group, LLC, parent of Brierley+Partners, Inc. The Brierley Group, LLC specializes in creating and implementing customer loyalty programs. Mr. Brierley is also CEO of e-Rewards, Inc., the country's largest online research panel and e-Miles, LLC, an online advertising channel. He serves on the Board of Directors for the following organizations: Dallas Center for the Performing Arts, the Executive Board of the Dallas Symphony Association, Dean's Advisors for Harvard Business School, KERA-TV, and the National Forest Foundation. Mr. Brierley has a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Maryland and an MBA with High Honors from Harvard Business School.
Mr. C. Leroy James, AIA, is Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer for Rees Associates, Inc. and also serves as Director of Operations for the REES Oklahoma City office. He has been with the firm since 1978 and has extensive experience with all aspects of REES' architectural activities. Mr. James has over 29 years of experience managing projects in broadcast, criminal justice, and mixed-use developments. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Architecture from the University of Oklahoma and an MBA from the University of Central Oklahoma. Mr. James also holds a Certificate in Management of Design and Planning Firms from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design.
Mr. Bill D. Smith, FAIA, currently serves in an Of Counsel role with Rees Associates, Inc. A licensed architect and interior designer, Mr. Smith served as President of JPJ Architects from 1980 until the merger in 1998 with HLM Design. During his career, Mr. Smith had leadership roles in the following organizations: American Institute of Architects, Dallas and National Chapters; Texas Architects Committee; and Texas Society of Architects. He played an active role in the Dallas and Texas' architectural design community, as well as the local political community. In 2006, Mr. Smith received the Texas Society of Architects Medal for Lifetime Achievement Award for outstanding contribution to the architectural profession. Mr. Smith graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Architecture, Design Option.
The Rees Associates, Inc. Board of Directors, established in 1978, is an active outside governing body. REES chose to establish the authority of the Board as a strong and viable portion of its corporate culture. REES Board members serve two and three-year rotating terms so that the majority of the Board have experience with their role.
