Tonner Doll Company, Inc. to Create Limited Edition dolls for New Line Cinema's The Last Mimzy

Tonner Doll Company Inc. has created limited edition Emma & Mimzy™ dolls based on characters from New Line Cinema's upcoming science fiction feature film The Last Mimzy. Based on the short story "Mimzy were the Borograves" by Lewis Padgett, The Last Mimzy will hit theaters nationwide on March 23, 2007. The Last Mimzy tells the story of a brother and sister who begin to develop remarkable talents that are both terrifying and wonderful after discovering a box of toys sent from the future. As everyone around the siblings begins to take notice of their changed behavior, they all find themselves drawn into adventure in a unique world. Scheduled for a March 23, 2007 release, The Last Mimzy features an ensemble cast that includes Timothy Hutton (Ordinary People, General's Daughter), Joely Richardson (The Patriot, Nip/Tuck), and Rainn Wilson (The Office). It is produced by Michael Phillips (The Sting, Close Encounters of the Third Kind) and directed by Robert Shaye (executive producer of, among other films, The Lord of the Rings trilogy)...

Emma, sculpted by renowned artist, Ann Timmerman, is 18" tall, fully strung and she is crafted in high quality vinyl with rooted saran hair and sweet, inset eyes full of expression. A miniature 9" Mimzy rabbit is included with Emma and together they will retail for $124.99. A separate, life-size Mimzy™ doll will measure 14" ear to toe and will retail at $59.99.

The officially licensed dolls will be available March 2007 at FAO Schwarz and fine doll and toy specialty stores around the country.
