Website Magazine Partners With Sustainable Harvest for ReplaceATree.org
Website Magazine (www.websitemagazine.com), the most popular print publication on Web success has partnered with Sustainable Harvest (www.sustainableharvest.org) to plant 120,000 native trees in the forests of South America.
(PRWEB) February 12, 2007 -- Website Magazine, the most popular print publication for Web success, is planting 120,000 trees in partnership with Sustainable Harvest in an effort to offset its carbon footprint.
The mission of the Replace-A-Tree Foundation (ReplaceATree.org) is to plant a tree for every Website Magazine recipient in the hopes of offsetting the CO2 footprint of the printed publication. In partnership with SustainableHarvest.org, the goal is to restore the forests of South America by replanting native species to their appropriate habitat and restore environmental stability.
"The publishers of Website Magazine have created a non-profit foundation to give back what we as producers of a print publication take from the earth" said Editor & Chief Pete Prestipino. Current subscribers as well as individuals and companies which request Website Magazine starting in January 2007 will be able to track the impact of this endeavor and monitor their contribution to the reduction of global warming and CO2 emissions. The Replace-A-Tree program will also allow individuals and companies in the coming months to compensate for their personal annual carbon dioxide footprint by paying to have the organization plant a tree on their behalf, which helps offset personal CO2 footprints.
