The International School of Hospitality is proud to announce the recipients of the TISOH Scholarship offered to members of the Southern Nevada Hotel Concierge Association and the Nevada Hotel & Lodging Association.
Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) February 12, 2007 -- The International School of Hospitality (TISOH) is proud to announce that Peter Scott de la Rosa of the Red Rock Casino Resort & Spa, Lolini Hamilton and Cheryl Tyson, both of Caesars Palace, are the recipients of the inaugural TISOH Scholarship program, announced Timothy Lam, Director of The International School of Hospitality.
All three recipients are enrolled in the February courses with Mr. de la Rosa in the Art of Concierge Certificate program and both Ms. Tyson and Ms. Hamilton in the Conference Management & Event Planning Certificate program.
The TISOH Scholarship program covers the entire tuition and all fees for recipients. A minimum of one spot is available in each TISOH class offering. For each start date, the faculty committee of TISOH selects industry associations with whom to offer scholarships to.
Mr. de la Rosa received a scholarship offered to the Southern Nevada Hotel Concierge Association while both Ms. Hamilton and Ms. Tyson received scholarships offered to members of the Nevada Hotel & Lodging Association.
Presently, TISOH offers several unique 2-3 month, evening programs including the Conference Management & Event Planning Certificate (where students plan a complete convention as their project), the Wedding Coordination & Design Certificate (where students plan 4 weddings with live couples before graduating), the Art of Concierge Certificate (featuring world class customer service skills training) and the Hotel Operations Certificate (designed to produce trained supervisory and managerial personnel). Courses are offered 3 times a year in February, May and September. The school has an agreement with UNLV's Harrah College of Hotel Administration to offer Harrah College certificates under their Hospitality Outreach Services Division department umbrella.
"A Certificate from TISOH opens doors to graduates looking for new careers or advancement opportunities. It is a clear demonstration of a candidate's initiative, drive and interest," said Patricia Norman, CMP, Academic Director of TISOH.
