Gina Whitney Releases New CD Titled: High Heels In A War Zone

Gina Whitney the hot new female country artist from Huntington Beach Ca. has what it takes to be the next big thing out of Orange County, California.

(PRWEB) February 12, 2007 -- Gina Whitney the hot new female country artist from Huntington Beach Ca. has what it takes to be the next big thing out of Orange County, California.

Gina Whitney won the Phoenix Arizona competition on the original Nashville Star series and is now recording the final tracks for her new CD: High Heels In A War Zone.

Not only does she have a great voice but she also writes songs that show some hints of her many influences. A country girl from Johnstown Ohio, she has an honest approach to all of her songwriting and her vocals are sweet, strong and ready to rock if needed.

"Time To Go" is a song drawn from a true story about her father whos army troop pooled all the cash they had to send him back home to be with his wife who had serious complications with the birth of their daughter. Soon after he was home, the entire army troop was wiped out in a fierce fire fight. Gina has written another hit with Time To Go". It is a beautiful song from the heart, so keep the tissues handy.

Gina Whitney has spent years in Nashville working with her friend Keith Bilbrey, the voice of the Grand 'Ole Opry. They have recorded many songs from well known Nashville writers, banged on doors on music row, attended CMA shows, and finally now all her hard work has paid off. Gina Whitney has a record deal and she is releasing what I believe is the next huge record for country music.

"Waiting For the Light To Turn Green" is destined to be a hit single for Gina. The song was written by Gretchen Peters, whose hits include: Dance With The One That Brought You" Shania Twain," I Saw Your LightLeanne Womack.

Waiting For The Light To Turn Green" is a tune all of us can relate to, stuck in traffic contemplating the story of the people around us. Where are they going, and what are their stories? Ginas vocals and emotion in this song are phenomenal as she relates a feeling anticipation of good things to come...after that light turns green.

Gina Whitney is a true artist, she writes, plays piano, sings incredibly well, and has a heart of gold.

She regularly goes on tour to entertain our troops in Iraq, Afghanistan, Bosnia, and other war zones that I would be hesitant to enter. She flies on Blackhawk helicopters from base to base, frequently having to duck into bunkers to avoid incoming enemy mortar fire. But when its over, she gets back on stage and brings a piece of home to our boys fighting for us in those theaters of War. In my mind, she is a hero for braving that danger to bring some light into the darkness in the war in which these guys fight every day.

Check out High Heels In A War Zone, and watch this girl rise to the top of the Country Music Chart this summer.
