Youth Ministry Resource Goldmine Gives Youth Workers More Time
Over 35,000 youth ministers find support and help for programming. Content for their ministry is provided by two veteran youth ministers.
New York, NY (PRWEB) February 15, 2007 -- For over 50 combined years, Al Millergren, Ph.D. and Paul Evans have been helping teenagers deepen their faith in Christ. And for over a decade they have been helping youth ministers as well through Teen Life Ministries.
"We noticed more and more youth workers were getting bogged down with the programming side of ministry, but missing the relational side," says Millergren. He goes on to add that successful youth ministry results from time outside of the Bible study.
Co-founder of Teen Life Ministries is Paul Evans. He was part of Pastor Millergren's youth group 20 years ago.
"Al is a great friend," Paul begins. "Even more, he was a great youth minister. He spent time with us and helped us develop real values."
Their youth ministry resource site, Teen Life Ministries, takes those same principles to help youth workers. Their slogan is "Taking the Guess Work Out of Youth Work."
Their youth worker resource site has over 400 Bible lesson downloads with PowerPoint. They offer over 700 youth ministry specific articles. Over 35,000 youth ministers receive their free weekly email tips. In addition, they started a youth group management system to help youth workers stay in contact with their group members.
The resources are available through Teen Life's Youth Ministry Zone, a private membership site designed to provide resources so youth ministers can spend more time with the teens in their group.
"I have been a member for a year now and am always finding new ideas and ministry tips that help me stay in touch with my students and keep me refreshed as well," says youth minister Tim Coats, "I have been in student ministry since Moby Dick was a minnow, (I have got to be insane), and have used nearly every resource on the planet and I have found that the youth ministry zone is the place to be."
