The Charles Babbage Foundation Appoints New Chairman and CEO

The Board of Directors of the Charles Babbage Foundation announces the election of Jeffery D. Stein as its new Chairman and CEO to set a new direction of the foundation.

Jeffery D. Stein, CEO of Peyton Investments, Inc., and who has been active in the information processing industry for decades, has been appointed by the Board of Directors of the Charles Babbage Foundation to become its CEO and Chairman of the Board. Mr. Stein has been active in the foundation for many years as a trustee and recently as Secretary and Treasurer.

The board has asked Mr. Stein to set a new direction of the foundation. The foundation is keenly interested in organizing an international effort to be an information center for the historical and archival activities for information technology industry. In addition, a significant goal is promote the many positive benefits of private corporations to document and archive their history.

The Charles Babbage Foundation is made up of several individuals dedicated to the documenting, archiving, and preserving of the information technology revolution. This technology has had far-reaching effects in such a short period of time that pioneer members of this field and profession are dedicated to preserve the historical facts and events.
