Two Local Families Become Homeowers in Partnership with Habitat for Humanity
Two local families will receive the keys to their new homes, which were built in partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles with the support of several local companies and volunteers. A traditional home dedication ceremony will take place February 13 at the site of the two newly, rehabilitated homes.
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) February 13, 2007 -- Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (www.habitatla.org) celebrates completion of two new homes for the Reyes and Cerna-Flores families. A home dedication ceremony will take place Tuesday, February 13 from 3:00pm - 5:00pm. The event will highlight various sponsors such as Buildable Hours, Audi of Downtown LA, Moneygram/Nix Cashing and Audi Club of North America, Southern California Chapter. Habitat president/CEO Erin Rank will welcome the families, volunteers and neighbors and acknowledge the many employees from local sponsoring companies who volunteered their own time to help build the homes.

WHY: HFHGLA partners with local organizations to help hard working families fulfill their dreams of homeownership. Sponsors support the building efforts through funding, awareness and volunteerism. Many employees from local companies have donated their own time this past year to work on these homes alongside the Habitat Partner Families who are moving into them.
Every time a new home is completed, Habitat invites the community and the volunteers to attend a home dedication ceremony. On Tuesday, February 13, the Reyes and Cerna-Flores Families will receive the keys to their new homes. Please come tour the new homes, meet the Habitat Partner families, volunteers, sponsors and various community members who helped make these homes possible.

Since 1990, HFH GLA has built more than 180 homes, transforming the lives of hundreds of individuals. In the spring of 2007, HFH GLA will kick off a three-year campaign to build or renovate over 250 homes in the greater Los Angeles community. Nearly 100 of these homes will be completed with the help of over 2000 volunteers from around the world during a five-day build project this fall.
