Houston, TX (PRWEB) February 15, 2007 -- A new company has entered the radiology network business: The National Radiology Network (TNRN). The company formed and began operations in November 2006.

The National Radiology Network provides a turnkey radiology network for health plans that can be customized to meet individual organizational needs and the demand of the markets they serve. For imaging facilities, TNRN offers all the benefits associated with group contracting, including access to managed care plans across the nation. Additionally, TNRN offers a full range of radiology and administrative services to group health, workers' compensation, and PIP organizations.

To boost its launch, TNRN purchased one of the nation's largest radiology networks from HealthHelp, a radiology benefits management company headquartered in Houston. The purchased network has imaging centers in 32 states and has contracts with numerous health plans. Over the next few months, The National Radiology Network will expand into all 50 states, including metropolitan and rural areas.

"What it really comes down to is striking a balance between broader coverage and better rates for health plans and offering imaging facilities great contract options," said John Allen, the CEO of TNRN.

The National Radiology Network's management team is composed of seasoned health care business executives with a wide-range of experience, including managed care, ancillary care, insurance, and the radiology service industry.
