Tait Radio Communications has been awarded a contract with Black Hills Power to deploy its TaitNet MPT1327 turnkey solution throughout the multi-state utility system.

Tait Radio Communications has been awarded a contract with Black Hills Power to deploy its TaitNet MPT1327 turnkey solution throughout the multi-state utility system. Black Hills Power is based out of Rapid City, SD and has been delivering energy for over 123 years. It was formed through the consolidation of several smaller electric suppliers in the Black Hills of South Dakota, Montana and Wyoming. Tait's MPT1327 voice and data network will help Black Hills Power service over 63,000 customers in 20 different communities.

The TaitNet system will be installed and in commission by May of 2007 and will include the use of Tait mobile units, portable units, base stations, switches and will interface to Avtec consoles. The turnkey award includes installation, commissioning, training and acceptance testing.
