ATP® Electronics Inc., a leading manufacturer of digital flash media products, today announced that its existing as well as upcoming USB drive product lineup will support the Windows® ReadyboostTM feature, optimizing system performance for users of the new Windows Vista operating system.

Sunnyvale, CA (PRWEB) February 16, 2007 -- ATP® Electronics Inc., a leading manufacturer of digital flash media products, today announced that its existing as well as upcoming USB drive product lineup will support the Windows® ReadyboostTM feature, optimizing system performance for users of the new Windows Vista operating system. Included in this lineup are ATP's award-winning USB drives, the ToughDrive® and the Petito®. The fast access times and transfer speeds of ATP USB drives are ideal for Readyboost high performance operation.

"We are proud to announce the widespread support of the Windows Readyboost feature by our USB product line," said Michael Plaksin, ATP Vice President of Flash Media Sales. "Readyboost is a whole new application for higher performance USB flash drives, and ATP is pleased that users of our award winning products such as the ToughDrive and Petito will not only see the advantages of faster file transfers, but now will also be able to take advantage of the performance boost in Windows Vista."

Windows Vista became available to consumers on January 30. The Windows Readyboost feature allows users to use USB flash drives or flash memory cards (via USB adapter) to enhance the performance of their systems. The flash memory device serves as an additional memory cache, allowing the computer to access commonly used data more quickly compared to from a hard disk.

The ATP ToughDrive and Petito are built using System-In-Package (SIP) manufacturing technology, which completely seals all vital flash components. Both USB drives are water and extreme temperature resistant, dustproof and shockproof.

ATP latest flash products include SD Trio Professional Plus series, the award-winning multi format SD storage solution, and ProMax 4GB SDHC Class 6 flash card. For more information on ATP complete product lineup, please visit http://www.atpinc.com or email flash@atpinc.com.
