KAZ Records Recording Artist Leah DeVon Selected to Perform at Pre-Oscar Gala & Awards for Breast Cancer Awareness

Atlanta, GA (Billboard Publicity Wire/PRWEB ) February 17, 2007 -- Atlanta indie recording artist Leah DeVon will be heading to California to perform at the Heal Breast Awareness Gala and Awards on Feb. 22, at the Sofitel Hotel in Beverly Hills.

Leah was brought to the attention of Johannes R. Fisslinger, President of the Heal Breast Cancer Foundation by Torrey Adams, President of KhyKel Music Enterprises. Mr. Adams noticed how popular the artist has become on the worldwide web and on myspace.com. Leah DeVon had the #1 independent soul site on myspace last year for six months. Her music has been embraced by DJs across the country.

The R&B artist has opened for top musical acts including Earth Wind and Fire, The Dramatics, Destiny's Child, Pieces Of A Dream, Keith Washington and the Backstreet Boy's to name a few. She has recorded a duet with music legend Kashif (Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey) and also had the privilege of recording with hit makers Full Force (Lisa, Lisa, LFO, Rhianna).

Leah will be performing "The Victory Is Mine" off of her new LP "Come Over."

The song was produced by Atlanta producer Kimmeth Keyz and written by Leah DeVon and Michera Clark. As Leah States, "'The Victory Is Mine' is such an appropriate song for this event. It's a song about hope and inspiration. It's about stepping out on faith and affirming your destiny. I love the positive message in the song." She will also be wearing jewelry by award winning jewelry designer Steven Zale. Leah was chosen to be apart of the Zalemark Inc. national jewelry campaign this year.
