SwiftCD Launches Third Generation Order Entry Software Application

PC-based software now allows product setup and complete order transmission

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) February 20, 2007 -- SwiftCD (www.SwiftCD.com) announces the release of its third generation software solution for product setup and order transmission. The client-side application is designed to allow SwiftCD customers to assemble orders in an offline manner. Once orders are ready, they are transmitted online via the built-in XML transmission engine. The latest version of the application, now version 3.1, allows for complete product setup, default value settings, various shipping options and automated order transmission to SwiftCD.

The software is one of many ways SwiftCD empowers customers to set up products and transmit orders. While most orders flow through automated XML-based solutions (both HTTP POST and SOAP Web Service), occasionally customer service representatives need to place manual orders with SwiftCD. The Order Entry Application gives service representatives a simple but powerful way to quickly enter live orders into the SwiftCD system, complete with shipping options, dynamic registration information and more. Other methods for transmitting orders to SwiftCD include:

  • Order placement through Web Browser - through the powerful SwiftCD vendor area, customers can place orders directly with a web-based system
  • Orders via e-mail - SwiftCD offers an e-mail specification for orders to be transmitted via e-mail as well as parsing for many common e-mail formats
  • Orders via HTTP Post (XML-based) - orders can be automatically transmitted, either individually or in batches via a simple but powerful XML-based HTTP Post.
  • Web Service (SOAP) - SwiftCD has a robust Web Service for automated transmission
  • Order forms - SwiftCD can provide you with an order form from one of our dozens of commerce partners; the form automatically transmits orders.

"We continue to expand our services, giving SwiftCD vendors more capability and flexibility to send us orders, track orders and have fully custom CDs and mailers. Our third-generation software solution is a perfect tool for customer service representatives to place quick individual orders", said Dr. Lance Deutsch, Research and Development at SwiftCD. "Having so many powerful but flexible solutions for order transmission is just one more reason why software vendors worldwide rely on SwiftCD to handle their on-demand CD manufacturing and fulfillment."

The order entry application is available currently through the SwiftCD web site. There is no cost for the software and no extra charge for orders submitted via the software solution.
