International Education Options Widen for College & High School Students

Cultural Experiences Abroad (CEA), an Arizona-based organization, expands overseas study programs to new continents, learning styles, and age groups.

Tempe, AZ (PRWEB) February 20, 2007 -– Options in overseas learning are greater than ever for college and high school students, as Cultural Experiences Abroad (CEA), an Arizona-based organization expands overseas study programs (http://www.gowithcea.com/about_cea.html) to new continents, learning styles, and age groups.

Allan E. Goodman, President and CEO of the Institute of International Education, said recently, “International study should be a part of every student's education… in order to prepare [them to be global citizens.” CEA has responded to this by exponentially expanding program offerings this year in an effort to make study abroad more accessible to students.

Last month CEA launched Business and Language study abroad programs in China (http://www.gowithcea.com/programs/china.html). Martina Barth, Development Manager at CEA explained, “Holding almost 25% of the world’s population, the most widely spoken language in the world and experiencing an economic boom – China is quickly becoming one of the world's most important economies and is certainly the ideal place to study. It only makes sense for us to open the doors into the Far East so that students can truly acquire an edge in today’s growing world.”

This month CEA has branched out to yet another group of future international leaders. CEA has now made study abroad programs available to high school students. Students 16 years and older can now study abroad in high school (http://www.gowithcea.com/highschool.html) during the summer months through language programs in Spanish-speaking countries, giving those at a younger age, an opportunity to know more about the world sooner, and develop language skills.

According to Barth, expanding program options doesn’t end with new destinations and age groups for CEA. She says their goal is to provide Global Education Solutions. Therefore, this month, they have also expanded the CEA GlobalCampus Network into Italy. The organization already offers college courses in Florence and Rome (http://www.gowithcea.com/programs/italy/florence.html), but their goal is to complement traditional study abroad opportunities by offering another type of educational experience in these cities, where multi-cultural competency is a priority, academics are hands-on, and tuition comes at a more affordable price. CEA’s official University of Record partner in this endeavor is the University of New Haven.

For students interested in studying abroad, you can contact CEA via telephone, email or online chat. Visit their website at www.GoWithCEA.com for more information. CEA is now enrolling students for programs during the summer, fall and year of 2007 as well as spring 2008.
