1,000,000 New Black Writers Needed During Black History Month
Noted author develops a strategy to increase the number of Black writers during Black History Month.
Knoxville, TN (PRWEB) February 22, 2007 -- There are millions of Blacks writers in America who are waiting for their chance to become the next best-selling author. An independent publisher seeks to give these emerging Black writers solutions to break through the publishing industry, with a new special report during Black History Month.
Do you feel like you have something special to give the world? Do you enjoy writing and would you like to publish a book? If you answer yes to any of these questions, today is your day to make this dream a reality. You can become a published writer. Many individuals do not understand the Black experience and the unique challenges for a Black writer. Blacks have a rich tradition in the writing community.
Authors such as W.E.B. Du Bois, Alice Walker, BeBe Campbell, and Langston Hughes provide examples of writers who have beat the odds and become successful. Yet, to many individuals, being Black in America means being ignored, overlooked, and undervalued. Robert Fleming, author of The African American Writer's Handbook, explains, "Every writer wants to be read. Success in the quest today requires a business-minded sensibility and a well-mounted campaign to get and stay in print."
With the rapid pace of technology and increasing access to information, an individual in the 21st century has the opportunity to influence millions of people across the globe. Unfortunately, many Black writers are left in the dark on these opportunities. This is about to change. Daryl D. Green, independent publisher and book marketing consultant, has helped hundreds of individuals get published. He hopes to help 1,000,000 new Black writers with getting published and plans to use Black History Month as a launching pad.
Green explains, "Many new writers are frustrated with the traditional publishing process. They become disenchanted with the numerous rejection letters. It's time more Black writers take control of their work and stop depending on others." Green further explains that writers need to do their homework. Green states, "There are always publishing scams. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably isn't true." Green has conducted extensive research on book publishing and offers his solutions in a new e-book called "Book Publishing for the Emerging Black Writer." It can be downloaded on Lulu.com (www.lulu.com).
This special report provides individuals with a proven method of getting published in an easy, cost-effective manner, to gain influence with others. Green is providing free personal support by email and phone, to anyone buying his publishing reports. Today's writers are in a great situation for gaining global influence. Black writers have an awesome opportunity to let their voices be heard and be a part of the rich history of Black writers in America. Green adds, "If I can help a few authors, then my work is not in vain."
