Rockin' Moms SXSW bash at Austin's Copa Bar on Friday, March 16th features live performances, open bar, free fajitas, prizes, giveaways and more.

LOS GATOS, CA (PRWEB) February 23, 2007 -- There's an old adage that Tiffany Petrossi and Rockin' Moms have updated for the 21st century: "Mother knows best--and she rocks hard, too!" On Friday, March 16th at the Copa Bar in Austin, Texas, Rockin' Moms will also prove they can throw a hell of a party. "Rockin' Moms has created a worldwide community that values the work of mothers who are musicians," said Petrossi. "We are thrilled to be hosting a SXSW party and showcasing moms who rock!"

The Rockin' Moms party starts at 3 p.m. (doors at 2:45) and features live performances by Austin's own classic rocker Shelley Knight; the emotionally charged delegates from Australia Future Native,; head Rockin' Mom and passionate songstress of San Jose, Tiffany Petrossi; Louisville's cinematic rock band Dirt Poor Robins; Texas favorites and recent Wife Swap stars, Texas party punk band 3 Kisses; and Austin's hottest industrial rock band, DAX.

Guests will also enjoy an open bar; free fajitas, giveaways and raffle items from Rockin' Moms, Daisy Rock and Sonicbids. The Rockin' Moms crew and Tiffany's husband Jamie will be on hand to film the performances and to do live interviews for the Rockin' Moms podcast, vodcast and e-zine. The festivities are scheduled to wrap up at 6 p.m.

The SXSW Music and Media Conference showcases hundreds of musical acts from around the globe on over fifty stages in downtown Austin. By day, conference registrants do business in the SXSW Trade Show in the Austin Convention Center and partake of a full agenda of informative, provocative panel discussions featuring hundreds of speakers of international stature.

Rockin' Moms mission is to promote and provide resources for moms who rock! In 2004 Singer-Songwriter, Tiffany Petrossi, wanted to provide a place where moms could garner respect, encouragement and resources for their work as both mothers and musicians. Rockin' Moms has grown and has members from all over the world, with a growing website, live concerts, radio show and now makes its first official showcase at SXSW.

Petrossi has released three CDs in three years including "Caravan," which is now being promoted to national radio by Bill Wence Promotions. In 2005, she was honored by Mayor Gavin Newsom of San Francisco when he proclaimed September, 14th "Tiffany Petrossi Day" for her musical contributions and performance at City Hall.
