Rising Healthcare Costs Open New Opportunities for Nurses and Healthcare Providers

Nurses and healthcare providers meet the need for ongoing support in chronic and preventative healthcare by becoming certified coaches in The Circle of Life training program, April 19-22, 2007 in Atlanta, GA.

Atlanta , GA (PRWEB) February 23, 2007 -- The rising cost of medical treatment is causing many to rethink healthcare. More and more people struggle with health care premiums and companies are reducing medical benefits to cut expenses.

This gives rise to an increasing trend toward preventative healthcare measures.

Preventative healthcare lowers costs and allows people to assume responsibility for health, but it often requires a shift in thinking.

In addition to treating existing conditions, preventative healthcare methods require people to monitor lifestyle choices before problems arise. Education and self-awareness are vital to preventative healthcare.

Indeed, people seek medical information to reduce costs before they arise. Healthcare providers and nurses fill this need in their current positions at corporations, wellness facilities and, increasingly, in their own practices.

The first step in preventing healthcare problems is self-awareness. Being aware of current lifestyle choices--and their affects--indicates where change is needed.

Often there are a number of ways to prevent a health problem. The real challenge is to determine what needs attention before it becomes a problem.

Self-awareness and life balance are crucial to sustaining health. For over 25 years hospitals, universities, corporations and healthcare providers have relied on The Circle of Life to determine their patients' lifestyle balance.

The Circle of Life is a personal health assessment that guides people to self-awareness in 12 key areas of life. By indicating strengths and areas where preventative measures are needed, the assessment provides a holistic system for preventative health.

But self-awareness doesn't always lead to positive shifts in behavior. For many, making healthy choices means change and, inevitably, resistance. Even in the best cases, change comes gradually.

Along with desire, lasting change requires understanding, coaching, accountability and a supportive community.

To meet this rising need for self-awareness and ongoing support, The Circle of Life Health and Wellness Certification Training Program is being offered April 19-22, 2007 in Atlanta , GA.

The training is for nurses and healthcare providers and introduces participants to a complete system for preventative healthcare.

Along with training in The Circle of Life system, attendees develop coaching, teaching, and group facilitation skills. They also learn related techniques and gain skills in business and marketing.

The Certificate provides opportunities for holistic coaching in a variety of healthcare organizations.

Included in the registration are two-and-a-half days of training, a comprehensive manual, an administration guide and ongoing education and support. The training is $1,200.00 until February 28th and $1,300.00 thereafter.

Registration is available by calling Joyce Dillon at 404-881-1322. For more information and online registration, please visit http://www.healthylivingandbalance.com/html/practitioners.html.
