London (PRWEB) February 28, 2007 -- SRC, the document creation professionals, has won a European public tender to roll-out a Trust-wide digital dictation and workflow management solution to Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
The WinScribe solution, provided by SRC, will replace the Trust's outdated analogue dictation system and dramatically improve document creation workflow for the hospitals 300+ users.
The Trust, which serves the North Derbyshire area, is the latest in a line of NHS Trusts to have turned to SRC and the popular, world leading WinScribe digital dictation solution, to improve document production efficiencies.
The SRC WinScribe roll-out will save medical staff time when creating dictations by using leading technology to simplify and modernise the old labour intensive processes associated with analogue systems. Medical staff merely place their portable dictation device into a docking station and recordings are automatically routed to an appropriate secretary for typing.
The new system will provide far superior sound quality and allow medical staff to review the status of their dictations and request document amendments through the WinScribe network interface.
A Chesterfield Royal Hospital spokesman said it would help the Trust provide a better service to the local community by streamlining documentation turnaround times. 'The solution is easy to use and has been adopted quickly by staff because they no longer have to worry about lost or broken tapes or where to send their urgent dictations. SRC demonstrated that the Trust's objectives will be met, delivering significant cost savings and better working efficiencies,' he said.
Chris Hart CEO at SRC said, 'we are delighted to have been selected by the Royal having worked very closely with the Trust. The SRC WinScribe solution is the most widely used digital dictation product in the UK Healthcare market, and this roll-out is further confirmation of its leadership and SRC's capabilities to bring the benefits of digital dictation to the UK NHS and Healthcare market.'
