Cell Phones Converted to Cash to help America's Veterans

Project RE-cell works with America's Veterans to supplement income and raise money for veterans' organizations.

We have an opportunity for people to help the environment as well as our most deserving citizens - our veterans

Boise, ID (PRWEB) February 27, 2007 -- Project RE-cell, a cell phone recycling company, is launching a national campaign to raise money for various veterans' organizations through its cell phone recycling fundraiser program. According to the Department of Veterans Affairs, 25 million veterans are currently using VA benefits and 70 million Americans are potentially eligible for such programs - a quarter of the country's population.

Veterans who would like to supplement their income while benefiting their local V.A. should contact the company at www.projectrecell.com for more information.

"We have an opportunity for people to help the environment as well as our most deserving citizens - our veterans" says Richard Black, National Marketing Director of Project RE-cell.

About Project RE-cell:

Project RE-cell answers the most common question asked after someone buys their new cell phone, "What do I do with my old one?"--recycle it! Cell phones are considered toxic waste and one device can potentially contaminate 158,000 gallons of ground water, which is equivalent to 2.4 million cups of coffee. Its mission is to make a difference in the lives of those in need and our environment. They provide an environmentally conscious program of recycling cell phones, as well as a source of fundraising for organizations, schools, churches and non-profits, therefore creating a win/win solution for everyone.

The company is able to carry out its mission with a team of fundraiser consultants that work with an organization every step of the way. From customizing fliers to getting the word out, the consultants work hand-in-hand with the fundraiser participants to ensure that their fundraisers are a success with no cost to them. Project RE-cell currently works with hundreds of organizations to collect cell phones for cash, and the list is growing each week. The organizations collect cell phones which Project RE-cell buys, then refurbishes for re-use, or recycles the obsolete devices through environmentally safe means.

They had great success in 2006 by raising more than $150,000 for various nonprofit organizations, schools, and churches. This year the company plans to raise more than $500,000 for its fundraiser participants and the millions of American Veterans who have served our country and fought for our freedoms.

Project RE-cell is also seeking companies and organizations who would like to support our American Veterans by donating used cell phones and/or providing a location for a collection box.
