Toronto, Canada (PRWEB) March 1, 2007
Under the auspices of better late than never, and after phone calls, emails, protestations and inquires, not the least of which may well have been a phone call from Andrew Wahl of Canadian Business Magazine, Google has reversed its policy, now allowing Canadian companies to become Google Adwords qualified and as such, a Google Adwords Qualified Company.
The first step in becoming a Google Adwords Qualified Company required being a member country in the program, which up until today was not possible. "This has been an issue for much longer than should have been necessary," states Jeff Quipp, President and CEO of Search Engine People (http://www.searchenginepeople.com), a Toronto based search marketing agency. "The exclusion of Canada has always been an intrigue in being that countries including the Vatican and Somalia are member nations. This is good news, not only for Canadian companies and Google but for the Canadian search landscape as well."
"Search Engine People is by no means the only Canadian company in the space to cover this issues and it is in part thanks to them that the issue has been rectified. Of course," Quipp concludes, "the race is now on to become the first Canadian Google Adwords Qualified Company."
