A light-hearted LearningAndLife.com poll reveals that over 58 percent of respondents would want to own their own business if money were no object, making entrepreneurship the most popular job of choice. Nearly one-third of those visitors polled cited teaching as their dream job, while far fewer would choose to be bartenders or circus clowns. With interest in entrepreneurship riding high, LearningAndLife.com provides visitors with the know-how to help them get started in their business careers.

(PRWEB) March 1, 2007 -- A fun LearningAndLife.com poll question, "What job would you love to have if money were no object?", asked respondents about their dream jobs. A surprising 58 percent would love to own their own business, money aside (http://www.learningandlife.com). Teaching ranked as the second most popular job, while bartending and circus clown jobs were the least popular. To help those poll respondents and other professionals and students make their dreams a reality, LearningAndLife.com features career tips, educational advice and school listings.

Nearly six out of 10 visitors polled would want to own their own business if money were no object, and close to one-third (30 percent) would want to be teachers. Only 4 percent want to be circus clowns, and 8 percent want to be bartenders.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the growth rate for small businesses without paid employees, which make up 70 percent of all small businesses, was 5.7 percent between 2002 and 2003. This is the largest rate of increase since the Census Bureau began releasing such statistics in 1997. Small businesses also netted a total of $830 billion in 2003, up from up from $586 billion in 1997.

"On the job fulfillment and a significant source of income can both coexist," writes dream job coach Joe Garfinkle on his Web site. "Once money is no longer the dominating concern, you will begin to see beyond your financial limitations into the realm of limitless possibilities."
