Capitol Ear Nose and Throat Clinic Reports Healthy Productivity Gains with WinScribe

Since rolling out the WinScribe digital dictation system across its 3 office locations 2 years ago, the North Carolina based Capitol Ear Nose and Throat clinic reports dramatic productivity gains.

Chicago, IL (PRWEB) March 2, 2007 -- Since rolling out the WinScribe digital dictation system across its 3 office locations 2 years ago, the North Carolina based Capitol Ear Nose and Throat clinic reports dramatic productivity gains.

The Capitol Ear, Nose and Throat Clinic has been treating patients with chronic diseases of the ears, nose, throat and head and neck for over 20 years and, like many medical practices, is under pressure to turn-around patient notes quickly and efficiently.

The clinic was previously using an old analog tape system and it became clear that they needed a new system allowing them to more effectively manage the 200 plus patient notes that enter the transcription pool every day.

After careful evaluation of different digital dictation products on the market, it was decided that WinScribe best suited their requirements due to its ease-of-use, ability to integrate into existing programs, remote working capability and cost-effectiveness.

The WinScribe solution was installed by the North Carolina based WinScribe supplier Tekton and was very easily adopted by doctors and typists. Even those doctors who had been using the old analog tape system for over 20 years found the transition to WinScribe smooth and easy. "My overall impression is that WinScribe is a great software application and has really helped us improve work efficiency", comments Doctor David A. Clark.

Productivity gains have been attributed to WinScribe's remote working functionality and the ability to job share. "With our previous system, the need to courier our work off site meant costly delays of up to a week or more. With WinScribe we can often have the notes transcribed before the patient even leaves the office!" says Sue Powers, Transcription Manager.
