Tired of Poor Customer Service? So is CEO of Timeshare Company

The CEO of a successful dot-com timeshare company, Sell My Timeshare NOW, says customer service need not suffer just because you aren't serving clients face-to-face. BusinessWeek backs up this idea by ranking USAA at the top of their Customer Service Elite list.

On Feb 26, BusinessWeek released their first-ever "Customer Service Elite List," identifying the top 25 US companies for customer service excellence. USAA, a provider of banking, financial planning and insurance services to military personnel, headed the list, followed by Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Cadillac, Nordstrom and Wegmans Food Markets, to round out the top five.

While Sell My Timeshare NOW, founded less than four years ago, is still a bit too new to claim a spot on the prestigious list, the dot-com timeshare company is gaining attention with both their rapid growth and their excellent record of customer service. In 2006, SellMyTimeshareNOW.com presented their customers nearly $230 million in offers to buy or rent timeshare resales. This fast-track dot-com credits their success as an online timeshare company, in part, to a corporate philosophy that emphasizes the individual needs of each customer and a company-wide commitment to workplace respectfulness.

According to Jason Tremblay, the company's chief executive officer, "Customer-centered service that shows each person he or she is respected and valued is critical, especially in companies that conduct their business primarily online. When you serve clients by email, phone or fax, you have to always go the extra mile. Customers need to hear the smile in your voice, even though they cannot see your face. They need e-mail responses that are prompt and personable. E-commerce shouldn't be about taking the human factor out of business. It's about making business more convenient and more people-friendly. USAA deals with their customers mainly by telephone and Internet, just like we do at Sell My Timeshare NOW. When they lead BusinessWeek's customer service list, it proves that customer service can be outstanding even though you aren't meeting your customers face to face."

To help foster a positive workplace environment, Sell My Timeshare NOW conducts regular training programs for all their employees in areas that include customer service, workplace sensitivity, as well as specialized programs in the ever-changing strategies of Internet marketing and online technology.
