America Voted: ApartmentGuide.com is the Next 'American Idol'

Apartments rental leader gets into the pop culture limelight.

Ever since the "Top 24" started to sing their way to stardom, ApartmentGuide.com has been receiving calls from "American Idol" fans. This funny incident is attributed to voters misdialing toll-free phone numbers; apparently, in a hurry to contribute their "two cents" into the favorite singer's grand win.

As an avid watcher of 'American Idol', it was fun to see our calls spike on Apartment Guide.com during the voting hours. Now I know what Kelly Clarkson felt like!

Some of the phone numbers used for the "Idol's" hotline are only one digit away from the numbers used by the ApartmentGuide.com's call center. As a result, in the past weeks, the call center has been receiving high-volume spikes in calls during and after voting times.

"As an avid watcher of 'American Idol', it was fun to see our calls spike on Apartment Guide.com during the voting hours. Now I know what Kelly Clarkson felt like!" says Tracy Young, Director of Consumer Marketing for ApartmentGuide.com.

Despite enjoying the stardom and a giggle or two, ApartmentGuide.com is planning to change its call center phone numbers.
