For stand-alone applications, most traditional computer cabinets have side panels that need to be physically removed and set aside, allowing access to the side of the cabinet. Not only is this cumbersome, but they can also be difficult to open, remove, manage, shuffle around, store and not tip over accidentally. This may seem like a minor difference, until you run out of equipment space in your computer room. Just think how many more cabinets a company could add to their existing computer room before telling the company CTO that they need to tear apart the perfectly designed and climate controlled equipment room.
