He offered some thoughts on the real estate market in Connecticut and the region, "I believe we hit a bottom last August in the housing market and it should demonstrate a moderate, but healthy resurgence this year with a minimum of 8-10% appreciation. Much of the speculation is gone from the market, leaving serious buyers and sellers. This spring will be a great time to buy or sell a home. Houses coming on for sale this spring will be more reasonably priced by sellers who have readjusted their expectations, which will bode well for buyers in this low interest rate environment, with more houses to choose from."
