Dr. Robert Schwartz Discusses Anesthetic Creams on WFAA-TV in Dallas/Fort Worth
Dallas plastic surgeon Dr. Robert Schwartz warns of the dangers of anesthetic creams being administered without proper supervision.
Dallas, TX (PRWEB) March 6, 2007 -- Dr. Robert Schwartz, one of Dallas' best-known plastic surgeons, appeared in a news report on WFAA-TV (ABC) on February 11.
Dr. Schwartz was asked about the potential dangers of creams commonly used to numb the skin in plastic surgery or laser hair removal. Among his comments: "There's a therapeutic dose that gets you numb, and then there are some doses at which it becomes toxic and can kill you. A lot of these medications are being given without adequate supervision. The safest thing patients and consumers can do is put on these medications at the facility--not at home."
