It's National Procrastination Week - Do You Know Where Your Goals Are?

The new book Stop Procrastinating Now: Five Radical Strategies To Set You Free, is scheduled for release during National Procrastination Week. While it's a fact that procrastination is the new national epidemic, most attempts at overcoming it fail, says author Kerul Kassel, not because people are lazy or disorganized, as most fear, but because they are focusing on the wrong things. "You're not going to get more done with additional gadgets or more time-management techniques."

(PRWEB) March 7, 2007 -- While some people are calling this National Procrastination Week, renowned productivity expert Kerul Kassel, author of the newly released Stop Procrastinating Now: Five Radical Strategies To Set You Free, says it's best termed Anti-crastination Week. "Language is important. It's not procrastination we're highlighting, but the simple and easily employed techniques that can be used to overcome it."

While it's a fact that procrastination is the new national epidemic, most attempts at overcoming it fail, says Ms. Kassel, not because people are lazy or disorganized, as most fear, but because they are focusing on the wrong things. "You're not going to get more done with additional gadgets or more time-management techniques." Eradicating procrastination begins with understanding your procrastination profile and what triggers you to put things off, then addressing those things.

One of the research tools that Ms. Kassel employed in writing Stop Procrastinating Now: Five Radical Strategies To Set You Free was the Procrastinator Profiler Quiz, taken by over 2000 respondents. Research indicates that the Pushback Procrastinator is the profile with the biggest population, close to 40%. Pushback Procrastinators resist anything that feels like 'should', 'must', or 'ought to'. You don't need a brain transplant in order to change this, though, really! if you're ready, it's time to enlist the help of friends and family to remind you whenever you slip into resistance mode, and be open to assistance that will aid you in seeing your pattern in a new light.

Kerul Kassel is available for interviews on the subject of eliminating procrastination. Ms. Kassel consults with individuals and organizations such as NASA, Sony, Volvo, and Hilton, and was recently quoted in TIME Magazine as a procrastination "nichepert". You can find more anti-crastination techniques in her new book Stop Procrastinating Now, available through Amazon.com. Learn more about Kerul Kassel and her work please visit www.NewLeafSystems.com.
