Jody Salamirad Hired by PayPerPost as West Coast Director of Sales

Veteran Internet sales executive from MySpace.com brings over 10 years of marketing and sales experience to PayPerPost.

PayPerPost, the leading marketplace for advertisers to reach bloggers, videographers, photographers, podcasters and social networks, today announced that Jody Salamirad, former senior sales executive for Myspace.com has joined PayPerPost as the company's west coast director of sales. In her new role, Salamirad will leverage over 10 years of internet sales experience featuring significant relationships on the west coast.

At MySpace, Salamirad worked with a wide variety of large west coast accounts in the technology, entertainment, automotive, and gaming industries. These accounts included Universal Pictures, Sony Pictures, Apple Computers, Boost Mobile, Vivendi Games, Hyundai and Electronic Arts. Most recently at MySpace, Salamirad focused on key studio accounts and established initial relationships with MGM and Lions Gate. Multi-million dollar deals secured by Salamirad with Newline Cinema and Sony Pictures contributed to the more than $10M in revenue she generated for MySpace in the past 12 months.

In addition to her prior role at MySpace, Salamirad has held key positions at Lycos.com and Classmates.com. At Lycos, she generated over $20 million in ad revenues over 3 years, and was the top sales executive all three years of her tenure in the San Francisco office. Also at Lycos, Salamirad implemented the SOFT (Sales Operation Feedback Team), which improved sales organization efficiency and performance. At Classmates.com, Salamirad established a presence throughout California, developing relationships at key accounts such as Nextag.com and Advertising.com.

Early in her career, Salamirad gained experience at McCann Erickson in San Francisco in the media department. Her shift to the Internet began shortly thereafter with Mediaplex, where she started their online media department and hired staff to develop online media plans for the client roster. Salamirad has also worked at Interevco as vice president of west coast sales, where she was responsible for not only sales but also the establishment of a west coast presence and sales staff.
