Ventria Bioscience announced today that Randy Semadeni would be joining the company as Vice President of Finance and Business Development.
Semadeni joins Ventria's management with more than 15 years of experience in Finance and Business Development. Prior to joining Ventria, Randy led the commercial launch of two business units for Rembrandt Enterprises. Randy has also held finance leadership positions with Murphy Farms, a division of Smithfield Foods, and Koch Industries.
"Randy's demonstrated success in finance and business development will provide the expertise needed for Ventria to commercialize its product pipeline," said Scott Deeter, President and CEO, Ventria Bioscience.
"I am excited to join Ventria's team and contribute to the mission of delivering affordable healthcare products to children who need it most," said Semadeni. He continued, "It is a unique opportunity to make a difference for children on a global basis by applying my experience to achieve Ventria's vision."
A recent child health study showed that Ventria's Lactiva and Lysomin helped reduce the duration of diarrhea in children by 30 percent, from 5.2 days to 3.7 days, as part of an oral electrolyte solution. Childhood diarrhea is the second leading killer of children, claiming 2 million lives annually according to the World Health Organization.
