Online Revealed Canada Announces HSMAI Canada as Education Content Partner for the 2nd annual Canadian Online Travel Conference

Online Tourism Marketing and what it means to the Canadian Tourism industry will be addressed at the second annual Canadian Online Tourism Marketing Conference. The event, which will take place May 28 & 29 at The Toronto Sheraton Centre, will offer practical application online tourism marketing workshops presented in association with content partner HSMAI Canada.

Online Revealed Canada announces HSMAI Canada as the premier educational partner for the 2nd annual Canadian online travel conference. HSMAI (Hotel Sales and Marketing Association) was established in 1983 to serve as the research and educational arm of the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International.

"The Canadian Chapter of HSMAI was involved last year in producing some workshop content for last year's Online Revealed Canada Conference in Ottawa, so the decision to elevate HSMAI Canada's status at this year's conference seemed like a natural fit," said Conference Co-chair Patricia Brusha.

The unique format of the Online Revealed Canada Conference incorporates keynote presentations from leading industry professionals, discussion panels and 16 hands-on educational online marketing workshops, broken down into 4 distinct learning tracks. HSMAI Canada will be producing the Travel Track Workshop Sessions which will include:

  • Revenue Management and your Online Channels
  • Web 2.0- How online collaboration and consumer-driven sites are impacting travel
  • Third Party Travel Intermediaries, have they lost momentum?
  • Destination Marketing, working with DMO's, Tourism Sites

"HSMAI Canada has a mandate to provide education and resources to the Canadian hospitality community," said Tom Price, of Ottawa Tourism and President, HSMAI Canada. "Directors of Revenue Management, Sales, Marketing and DMO's are all key membership groups in our chapter. We saw partnering with Online Revealed, the premier event in online marketing for the Canadian travel industry, as an excellent way for us to reach this audience."

Other workshop tracks include SEO (Search Engine Optimization), Paid Placement and New Media. Registration is now open for the event with limited spaces available within each workshop. Participants are encouraged to register for the event to secure placement within their choice of 4 workshops.
