Global Traveler's annual auction features over 50 great items to bid on. All bidders are entered into a sweepstakes to win airline tickets.

(PRWEB) March 12, 2007 -- Global Traveler's annual silent auction is off to an exciting start. The auction to benefit The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society kicked off March 1. In conjunction with this year's auction is a sweepstakes offer. All bidders are automatically entered to win this year's grand-finale raffle drawing for two round-trip business-class tickets donated by British Airways. The tickets are good for a trip from anywhere in the US or Canada to London.

Bidding has been lively as participants vie for the more than 50 items -- round-trip airline tickets, world-class hotel accommodations and leading-edge travel products -- generously donated by airlines and hotels around the world.

Among the many participating airlines, Qatar Airways, Swiss International Air Lines, Air France, South African Airways, Malév Hungarian Airlines, Icelandair and BMI have all donated two round-trip business-class tickets for travel to various worldwide destinations. Dozens of hotels are also participating in the drive to help fund research in the search for a cure blood and lymph node cancers; diseases which affect approximately 786,000 Americans. Contributors include Hotel Bel-Air in Los Angeles, Hotel Ritz Madrid, InterContinental Hotels Group and The Ambrose in Santa Monica, Calif.
