The Georgetown Business Association (GBA) is proud to announce that Mayor Adrian Fenty, http://dc.gov/mayor/index.shtm, will speak at its March 14 annual meeting and awards ceremony being held at the Georgetown Four Seasons Hotel. Born and raised in Washington, DC, Mayor Fenty will address issues concerning the local business community. The event begins at 6:00 pm.
Formerly known as the Georgetown Business and Professional Association (GBPA), the GBA has been existed for 31 years. The GBA is a non-profit, membership-based organization committed to maintaining and improving the business climate in Georgetown. Membership in the GBA offers considerable opportunity for company promotion and networking with other businesses in the area, as well as the ability to vote on important issues and strengthen the Georgetown business community. In addition to building partnerships among Georgetown businesses, the GBA also serves as a point of contact with the larger Washington business community. The GBA represents the interests of its members, monitoring all legislation considered by the DC City Council that may affect Georgetown professionals. Through various promotion initiatives, the GBA also serves to help Georgetown flourish as a place of business.
