Colorado Springs, CO (PRWEB) March 15, 2007
Global Fab Surplus Semiconductor Equipment (GFAB) LLC, a leading provider of used semiconductor equipment, complete wafer fabs, subsystems, spares and service, are pleased to announce the completion of a multimillion dollar deal providing a major DRAM manufacturer with key semiconductor processing equipment to increase capacity.
"GFAB used it's vast network of IDMs, Foundries, R&D, MEMS and Nanotech facilities to locate, assess and evaluate the available technologies and used equipment in the market. They found an almost perfect match to our requirements and assisted in negotiating pricing that fits our requirements in this challenging sector" said the site director of purchasing. "We have purchased single tools from GFab in the past so we were happy to learn that they could provide a larger solution of 16 premium tools for our requirements."
"We are very excited by this latest milestone and opportunity for growth in both companies. We share a strong commitment to providing the best service, support and maintaining long term relations with our global customers," commented Chris Detrick, GFab VP of Sales, on the sale. "This was an opportunity that we had been working on for almost a year, it took a lot of work with the customer to understand their needs and quite a few site visits to facilities with used semiconductor equipment before we could find what was almost a perfect solution."
The semiconductor equipment is currently being installed in the facility and is scheduled to be in full production by January 2008.
