Noted Sports Artist Opens Pearl Mountain Studio Web Site

Pearl Mountain Studio will feature original art specializing in sports action and dance. Along with the debut of its web site comes its industry leading affiliate program for photographers and others in the sports imaging business.

St. Louis, MO (PRWEB) March 26, 2007 -- Today Pearl Mountain Studio launched its website at http://www.pearlmountainstudio.com which features original oil portraits of sports and dance action.

Pearl Mountain Studio grew out of one athlete's desire to sketch, draw and paint sports in action. "We are very happy to celebrate with our customers that goal, touchdown, or perfect golf swing by immortalizing it in oil paints. We try to squeeze out every feeling you had when you performed for the image - permanently capture it in a beautiful work of art," said Robert Paarlberg, principal artist. "Sport is heat, fatigue, pain and a hundred other little things. We understand them because we have felt them all. We also understand the rhythm and grace that can come in sport - and these we celebrate."

In addition to their work in baseball, tennis, hockey and golf, the artist is also excited about working with dance. "We recently received a commission to do a triptych (three paneled painting) of Gillian Murphy of the American Ballet Theatre. Her lines are so incredible it is really a joy to paint," an artist said.

Pearl Mountain Studio typically starts with a professional photograph of the subject in an action shot. While they can work with a non-professional photographer; the professional will understand light, framing, context and freezing the action which makes the job much easier. After this the artist works with the customer to design the artistic representation. This consulting continues until the work is complete.

Visitors to the website will appreciate the other subjects and styles of painting shown on the site. In addition to sports and dance action, one can see beautiful classic traditional portraits along side of modern, impressionist, and knife (impasto) style painting.

Another offering they are very excited about is the reproduction of the masters. For years, the galleries of Europe have been filled with copyists to set up their easel and try to reproduce brush stroke by brush stroke some of the great works in art history. Pearl Mountain Studio continues this tradition by offering reproduction paintings of all works that are not under copyright. We are very fortunate to have artists in our group who have the talent and skill to reproduce almost any painting.

On the business side, Pearl Mountain Studio's affiliate program is among the most generous in the industry. Sports photographers and photographers of performing arts are encouraged to review the details at the company's web site.

These are truly one-of-a-kind oil paintings. We start with an empty canvas and create it just for our customer. In this age of automation and digital imagery having a warm breathing work of art is a refreshing change.

Pearl Mountain Studio is a division of Linmun Research a 25-year-old technology company.
