VegasTripping.com has announced the winners of their "2nd Annual Best and Worst of Las Vegas Readers Poll Awards - The Trippies." Over a four-month period, VegasTripping's readers nominated and voted on their favorite and least favorite Hotels, Shows, Casinos, Restaurants and more in 26 diverse categories. Readers also nominated and voted on their favorite blog, podcast and website sources for Las Vegas travel information, Las Vegas Pet Peeves and Vegas Person of the Year.

Independent Las Vegas travel guide VegasTripping.com (http://www.vegastripping.com) has announced the winners of their "2nd Annual Best and Worst of Las Vegas Readers Poll Awards - The Trippies." Categories for this years balloting included best and worst winners for "Overall," "Rooms," "Food," "Buffet," "Room Service," "Neon Sign," "Show," "Entertainer," "Place to Hook Up," "Ultralounge," "Casino," "Table Games," "Slots," "Video Poker," "Poker Room," "Sportsbook," "Casino Carpet," "Vegas Book," "Vegas News Story," "House of Ill Repute," "Implosion," "Best Vegas Website," "Best Vegas Podcast," "Best Vegas Blog," "Vegas Pet Peeve," and "Las Vegas Person of the Year."

The editors of VegasTripping also chimed in with 'Editors Picks' for all categories.

The overall winner of the 2006 Trippies Readers Choice awards was Bellagio, which came away with honors for "Best Overall," "Best Food," and "Best Room Service," "Best Poker Room" Additionally, Cirque du Soleil's 'O' - in residence at Bellagio - won "Best Show" honors.

The legendary Caesars Palace took "Best Casino" and "Best Sportsbook" honors. Caesars Palace headliner Elton John won the readers' nod for "Best Entertainer." Golden Nugget and The Palms repeated their victories in the "Best Table Games" and "Best Slots" categories respectively. VegasTripping's readers chose Harrah's Las Vegas as the purveyor of tightest slot machines in Las Vegas.

Last years big winner, Wynn Las Vegas, swept the Editors Choice 'Best of Las Vegas' categories decisively, pulling in victories in "Best Overall," "Best Casino," "Best Rooms," "Best Food," "Best Food," "Best Room Service," "Best Table Games" and more.

Las Vegas is known throughout the world for it's all night party, gambling, buffets and shows. However, it is often the deliciously tacky neon signs and casino carpeting that serve as water cooler conversation pieces when they return home. VegasTripping.com's readers surely appreciate the finer points of casino carpeting, and voted "Best Casino Carpet" to $2.8 billion dollar resort Wynn Las Vegas. "Best Neon Sign" award went to The Stardust, which recently closed after 50 years on the Las Vegas Strip - a fitting final tribute to one of the grand dames of the Las Vegas Strip.
