Genuitec, LLC, provider of the popular MyEclipse integrated development environment (IDE) and a founding member of the Eclipse Foundation, announced today the election of Todd Williams to the Eclipse Foundation Board of Directors for the fourth year in a row as an Add-in Provider representative. Williams is Vice President of Technology and co-founder of Genuitec, where he leads the company's Eclipse Technology Consulting Practice and Research & Development Laboratory.
"As a principle in commercial company based on the Eclipse Platform, I understand the delicate balance in promoting the Eclipse platform while maintaining commercial viability. For the past five years I've evangelized Eclipse technology and provided thought leadership through numerous consulting opportunities, speaking engagements, member recruitment and magazine articles," said Williams. Williams is a 20-year veteran in development of computing infrastructures, large scale distributed software architectures, and optimization of development processes, techniques and tools.
Williams' current appointment on the Eclipse Board will last for a full year, beginning April 1, 2007.
